A Few Favorites of 2018 - Podcasts, Phones and projects
Hello friends, there are only a few days left in 2018, today I think I will share some of my favorite things that I learned and found this year. Some are free and others are quite expensive, but lately they have had an impact on my life, including the camera that used to photograph the light of this morning in the window of our kitchen one morning before Christmas. Podcasts Have you become a fan of podcasts? I listen to them when I have free time, especially when I prepare the morning and clean the house.
I tend to be an excessive thinker and podcasts really change my life. They made some food to think about and they took me out of my head and thought about something else for a while. Billy listened to many of those same podcasts that I did during a long business trip and then gave us arguments for the conversation when we were together. I listen to the New York Times Daily so I can get information about the day's events and table policies with my children. Listen through Spotify, but you can also listen through the Apple application or online. My favorite, without a doubt, is the Dax Shepard chair expert. In particular, experts from the expert series.
I remember Dax of his character, Crosby, in the TV series Parenthood, but I think his official claim of fame is what he made with this podcast. It is transparent and attractive and is not afraid to explore uncomfortable topics and does everything in an accessible way. The best I've heard so far is Jonathan Haidt, a social psychologist. As a parent of young adults, I totally agree with what you have to say about today's children and I want to read your books to learn more. Other memorable episodes: Ethan Hawke, Brene Brown, mother of Dax-Laura Labo. IPhone XS Max technology has become a turning point for me. My middle child is our technology teacher and he updated this phone as soon as he left and kept telling me how he needed it just for the camera. I don't want to spend more than $ 1K on a new phone when my iPhone 7 works so well and I think the phone's camera won't get close to my beloved Canon DSLR for a long time in the future. Now is the time I borrowed your phone to take some pictures and asked for a new phone that night. It is really good. I use it for many of my Christmas photos, including this one. Capture the light in a very beautiful way. I still use Lightroom to edit my photos, even from my cell phone's camera. And to keep up with the phone, I used the plugs of my old phone for more than a year and I'm used to it, but they fall out quite regularly and with size / weight (cost!) More than a new phone, I look for alternatives and I find Loopy Case. It has a sturdy ring that is attached to the back of the box. And you can change the circle to suit your case. Now I have a Christmas ring and one with snowflakes to wear during the winter.
It's fun! DIY project My favorite project this year is to paint the kitchen islands. It seems to have updated our entire house! Our kitchen is now 10 years old and I am still quite happy with most of the items we have chosen, but I think the darkest cherry-stained island is present throughout the room. I feel relieved that Farval and Ball's Space Oval Blue paint color works well for all seasons. We have also added some prints and finishes to make it more similar to furniture and the changes have also made a big difference. Christmas: autumn (my favorite!) And the finalist project will change the closet doors under the sink of our farm with the skirts of the sink. This is only a temporary change (we hang the bar with a thick double-sided tape) but it adds a lot of charm to our kitchen. Television A Million Little Things, on NBC, is my favorite show this year. I found him only a month ago, but I caught HULU and now I am connected and hope to return after his winter break. It's been a long time since I saw a series that I have to wait for every week! I was so spoiled looking at party stuff. Looking back at my last favorite books, I realize that I haven't read much. I hope to change it in 2019.
